Muoi: The Legend of a Portrait

Muoi: The Legend of a Portrait is another ghost vengeance film, but it's done in a above average way. There's really nothing new that it brings to the table, but if you are a fan of the JU-ON or RINGU styles of film, you'll want to add this to your queue for late night viewing.

The story is simple. A writer goes to track down information for a story she is writing on the revenge minded Muoi legend. Her old friend knows about the legend and has offered to help. Ghost antics ensue.

Again, there is nothing new, really. Some of the story ideas are rather good and the visual element of the ghost is fun, so, as I said, if Asian revenge ghosts are your bag and you enjoy watching beautiful ladies talk, this is for you! :)

I did a little Netflix scrubbing when watching it, so it's a bit of a cheat due to lack of time, but the acting, story and the way it was shot did manage to hold my attention. Take a peek and let me know if you think it was worthwhile. I enjoyed it.
